Dr. N. Nirmala Devi is a dedicated and driven professional with a diverse background in management. With over 26 years of experience in teaching management subjects at reputed business schools, she has consistently demonstrated a strong ability to innovate in teaching pedagogies, provide research guidance, foster entrepreneurship education, develop curricula, and implement outcome-based education. Additionally, she excels in mentoring and administrative responsibilities.
Dr. Nirmala Devi's career journey has encompassed roles such as Associate Professor, Professor, Head of Department, Principal, and Director, where she has delivered exceptional results and contributed significantly to institutional success. Beyond teaching, she has held numerous positions, including Research Coordinator, Management Representative for ISO quality assessment, ED Cell Coordinator, Senate Member, Head of the Centre for Professional Training and Development, and NBA Coordinator.
Her academic journey includes dual post-graduations—an MBA in Marketing and HR, and an MA in Economics. She further pursued a Doctorate in Management with a focus on Marketing from Bharathiar University, developing a robust foundation in social science research. Dr. Nirmala Devi has published numerous conceptual and research papers and book chapters in the management field.
Passionate about teaching, she views it as a noble profession and has significantly impacted over 3,000 management students, grooming many entrepreneurs throughout her career. She is an expert in case study methods and experiential learning, effectively communicating management concepts. Dr. Nirmala Devi emphasizes the importance of ethics and values, instilling these principles in her students.
As a research supervisor, Dr. Nirmala Devi has produced eight doctorates in management and has delivered lectures at various forums, including FDPs, conferences, and workshops. Her expertise includes training management students and industry executives in design thinking, creativity, communication, conflict management, transactional analysis, and fostering a happy workplace.
